The air-polishing device removes discolouration

The air-polishing device removes discolouration and pigment deposits from the tooth surfaces.

The air-polishing device uses a water-and-air mixture with an added cleaning powder – calcium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate or glycine – to remove discolouration and pigment deposits from the tooth surfaces. Such deposits can be caused by smoking and by drinking tea or coffee.

The pressure of the jet combined with the cleaning powders cleans the tooth surfaces. The jet also reaches awkward places such as deep interdental spaces and deep periodontal pockets, which ordinary brushing does not clean.
It matters that a gentle powder is used on these sensitive tissue surfaces.
